Pullman Mayor. Son of Charles and Pauling Mitchell. He grew up in North Dakota and completed business college at Bismarck, North Dakota. He served as mayor of Pullman, Washington from 1962 to 1969, and as second vice president of Old National Bank of Washington serving until 1966. He was also was a member of the Pullman Chamber of Commerce, the Lions Club, Masonic Lodge, and the Royal Arch Masons. On August 16, 1928 he married Fanny Greve in Mott, Hettinger County North Dakota. The couple lived at Mott until 1947, when they moved to Pullman. He was survived by his widow, son Dean of Kennewick, Washington and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Curtis.
