GARDNER, Nora Keturah, 92, of Willis, died Friday, June 21, 2002. She was born November 17, 1909 in Hillsville to Denny Matthew and Cora Lee Hurst Gardner. She graduated from Hillsville High School in 1927 and Radford College in 1931. She taught in Floyd County Schools for 26 years and was active in community affairs. She was a member of Willis United Methodist Church where she taught the adult Sunday School Class and was president of the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the American Sadle Horse Hall of Fame.
Mrs. Gardner was predeceased by six siblings; her husband, W. Ross Gardner; and a daughter, Catherine Gardner Phillips.
