Miss Elsie E. Weber, 89, of 1434 E. Glendale Avenue, Appleton, died Monday afternoon at Appleton Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born July 1, 1895, in New Holstein, daughter of the late Gust and Emily Weber.
Miss Weber attended local schools, and was involved in sales work in New Holstein.
She later worked at Gimbels in Milwaukee, and moved to Appleton after her retirement.
Miss Weber was a member of First United Methodist Church in Appleton, the Guild Fellowship, and the Appleton Medical Center Auxiliary. She was a life member of the New Holstein Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are a brother, Clifford of New Holstein; a sister, Miss Viola Weber of Appleton; and nieces, nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur, in 1972.
The funeral will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Chapel, 325 E. Franklin Street, Appleton. The Rev. Charles King, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery, in rural New Holstein.
