St Johnsbury VT is at the junction of north/south and east/west railroads and so it is a very centralized town for that area of Vermont. As such, it attracted immigrants from Canada. Two of these immigrants were Joseph Gorham and his wife Sarah Ann Moore. It is likely that they initially came to Vermont in 1896 but traveled back and forth until finally settling down in VT circa 1906.

Joseph and Sarah married in Leeds, Quebec, Canada on 3/20/1883.
