Ollie Lee Denny was born December 1904 in Richmond, Kentucky. She had a brother William Denny who as two years older. Her father was Robert Denny. Her mother was Sara Jane "Sally" Tillet. Her Grand Father was Humphrey Tillet. In 1923, at age 19 she married Alfred Green Blevins, age 20, also of Richmond, Ky., while both were living in Decatur County near Greensburg Indiana. Their marriage application came with the written consent of his father James D. Blevins. They were married by Pastor James L. Brown. She listed her occupation as domestic.

Ollie was the mother of five children. Two of her children died under the age of 3 years. Ralph Blevins (2 years 9 mos.) and his older brother Loren Beryl (4 years 3 mos.) discover berries growing wild near their home in Posey, Franklin Co., In. Ralph died, from the results of eating the poison berries. Loren Beryl survived the event. The wild berries were deadly Nightshade berries, (Atropa Belladonna). Ralph was buried at Stipps Hill Cemetery, Salt Creek Township, Franklin Co., In.
