We regret to announce the demise of Dr. E. D. Rentfro, who died at his residence in this city, on the morning of the 16th inst., after a long and painful illness. Dr. Rentfro has resided here during four or five years past, and in the practice of his profession had won an enviable reputation, and by his kindness to all and his many noble virtues, had gained the friendship, esteem and confidence of all who knew him. While the loss of so estimable a man is deeply felt by the community which his life adorned and benefited; to his bereaved family, the loss of the affectionate husband and indulgent and exemplary parent, is irreparable.
