Services were held May 14, 1954 at the Evergreen Baptist Church for Charlie C. Armstrong, 89, of the Evergreen Community. Burial was in the Verona Cemetery with W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors in charge. He died at the home of his nephew, D.(Delmar) D. Armstrong on May 12, after an illness of several months. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church.

He leaves a son, Grady Armstrong of Bloomington, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Percy Duncan of Dorsey; and a brother, Albert Armstrong of Gatesville, Texas.
