PANHANDLE, Oct. 10 - Funeral services for Joseph Adcock, 48 years old, are pending. The body lies at Poston Funeral Home here.

Mr. Adcock died yesterday morning in Groom Hospital, after a short illness. He had lived in Panhandle seven years and at the time of his death was in charge of the state highway department garage.

Survivors are his wife, two daughters, Patricia Ann and Mrs. Flavil Ayers, both of Panhandle, three sons, Robert and Lealon, both of Panhandle, and Carl, in the Navy stationed in Japan, eight brothers, Ross, Hershel and Thurman, all of Canadian, Clay and Asa, both of Gagesby, Claude of Little Rock, Ark., Cary of Gentry, Ark., and William of Pampa, three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Walser, Gageby, Mrs. Lawrence Curnutt, Wichita Falls, and Mrs. Fannie Jeffers, Gentry, and two grandchildren.

PANHANDLE, Oct. 11 - Funeral services for Joseph Adcock, 48 years old, will be conducted at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon in Panhandle Church of Christ, with Royce Blackburn of Amarillo officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery under direction of Poston Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be six nephews, J.W. Stamps, James Edward and Jerry Cummings, Edward, Jimmy and Eugene Adcock. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews of the Carson County Commissioners Court.

Mr. Adcock died Tuesday in Groom Hospital after a short illness. He had lived in Panhandle seven years and at time of death was in charge of the county garage here.

Survivors are his wife, two daughters, three sons, eight brothers and three sisters.
