Charles Thomas Dulin


Charles Thomas Dulin, 93, of Springfield, died on January 7, 2007, in Christian Health Care at Republic after a short illness. Born on the family farm in Greene County in Northeast Springfield on November 3, 1913, he remained there his entire life and owned a dairy operation until retirement. Following his retirement, he enjoyed a great deal of travel in his Winnebago throughout the United States, including a trip to Alaska. He was a faithful, longtime member of Campbell Avenue United Methodist Church. Preceding Charles in death were his parents, John T. and Christina M. Dulin; his first wife, Stella (Biggers) Dulin on July 20, 1986; his second wife, Flora (Graves) Dulin on November 3, 1999; two brothers, Frances and Paul; his sister Mary Elizabeth Alexander; and a nephew, Harold Dulin. Survivors include one brother, John Dulin, of Lostline, Oregon; nephews, Stanley Dulin, of Springfield, Missouri, Thomas Dulin, of Texas, and John Dulin, of California; nieces, Ruth Sawyer, of Brookline, Missouri, Nancy Shelton, of Texas, and Christina Dulin-Geyer, of Oregon. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning, January 10, at 9 a.m. in the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at 1635 N. Benton, Springfield. Services for Mr. Dulin will follow at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Joe Lightner officiating. Interment will be immediately after the service in Eastlawn Cemetery.
