Services for Verna C Roquet, 83, of Valley View Village, 2571 Guthrie Ave., who died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Merle Hay Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Merle Hay Mausoleum.
A lifelong resident of Des Moines, Mrs. Roquet was a retired secretary. She was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, L. Earl; a daughter, Darlene Anderson of West Des Moines; two sons, Dwight of Des Moines and Dr. Wayne Roquet of Naples, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions to First Christian Church. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 tonight.
