Derek D. Schreiber, 7, of 21807 Schreiber Road, Kiel, died Tuesday morning, November 13, 1990 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born January 13, 1983 in Sheboygan, son of Ronald and Joyce Peters Schreiber. He was in the second grade at Zielanis Elementary School in Kiel. He belonged to Bethlehem United Church of Christ, in the town of Schleswig and Sunday School.
Survivors include his parents, Ronald and Joyce; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Schreiber, of rural Kiel; maternal grandparents, Ruth Mitchel of Victor, CA and Leon Peters of Plymouth. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal great grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Friday at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Town of Schleswig, with Pastor Barbara Loose, interim pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, from 4-9 pm Thursday, Friday from 9 am till 11 am and at the church from noon until the time of services. A memorial has been established in Derek's name for Bethlehem United Church of Christ.
