Charles died in Andersonville Prison during the war. Prior to joining the Union forces, he was married to Mary Piper. They had no children. Charles was the son of John R Buckley and Abigail (Ridley) Buckley. The tombstone inscription reads only "3115, Chas. Buckley, N.Y."
