CURTIS E. BLOMSTEDT Oct. 27, 1928 ~ March 27, 2009 COLLEGE STATION - Curtis E. Blomstedt entered into his eternal rest on March 27, 2009 in College Station. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday, March 30, 2009 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1200 Foxfire Drive, in College Station, with Pastor Michael A. Hafer officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. at the church. Interment will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Elim Lutheran Church Cemetery in Karnes County. Mr. Blomstedt was born Oct. 27, 1928, in Kenedy, the son of Carl and Laura Gustafson Blomstedt. He was an accountant and worked for Gibraltar Savings & Loan and Tuloso-Midway ISD before his retirement. Mr. Blomstedt loved his church and served in many different roles. He was formerly a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Corpus Christi and was currently a member at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in College Station. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Blomstedt; children, Larry Blomstedt and Colleen, Karen Walls and Paul, all of Friendswood, Steve Blomstedt and Shelly of College Station; two brothers, Robert Blomstedt and Dona, Ron Blomstedt and Karen; 10 grandchildren, Ty Berry, Candice Garrett, Elizabeth Blomstedt, Alex Blomstedt, Kristy Walls, Ellen Walls, Mark Walls, Laura Blomstedt, Brittany Blomstedt, and Paige Blomstedt; two great grandchildren; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and family friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Corpus Christi or Holy Cross Lutheran Church in College Station. Expressions of sympathy can be made at www.MeM.com.
