1. John Vinnedge and his wife, Rosanna Moore, reared a family of eight sons and two daughters. Their oldest son, William, married Margaret Russell and together they established their home in the then territory of Indiana, early in the present century [19th Century] near where the city of Richmond now stands. To this couple, three sons and two daughters were born, the oldest son being the father of the subject of this sketch [William W. Vinnedge]. In 1837, William Vinnedge and Margaret, his wife, died of Typhus Fever, and their bodies were interred in the old Smith Cemetery in Richmond, Indiana."

Appreciation goes to Wayne Township Trustee's Office for funding the restoration of King Cemetery and for cleaning, repairing and resetting this memorial. Their work was done during March of 2012.
