William McInteer was born 31 Dec 1786 in Stafford Co, VA, the son of Henry McINTEER and Margaret (Hansborough) McINTEER. William McInteer married Ada(h) Harding 9 Jan 1809 in Stafford Co., VA. They moved from Stafford, Co., VA to Kentucky with two small children and a few slaves, and settled in the edge of the Barrens during 1813 or 1814. Many of the slaves are buried in the same cemetery, marked only by rocks. William and Ada had children: (1) William Henry 1810, (2) Emily Marston 1812, (3) Euphemia 1815,(4) Letitia 1817, (5) Elizabeth Ann 1819, (6) Francis "Fanny" 1821, (7) Jane Burdetta 1823, (8) Smith 1824, (9) John T. 1826, and (10) Elijah O. 1828, and (11) Adah Harding McINTEER 1830.
