Born at home on the family farm in Medina County . He died May 4, 2010 , after a lengthy illness , surrounded by his loved ones.
During World War II , he served in the Merchant Marines. He was a life long distributor with Tramonte Distributing Company , founded in 1940 by Jack's father, Giacomo Tramonte. He started out driving a truck at 16, and eventually became president of the company.He led the Wholesale Beer Association of Ohio in 1977 as President, and was named Wholesaler of The Year in 2003 by the Ohio Tavern News. Tramonte Distributing Company won the High Life Achievement Award in 2008 under his direction.
Jack was an avid harness racing enthusiast and was named Horse Owner of the year at Northfield Park. He loved watching the Cleveland Cavaliers.
