Cleone L. Gumble, 85, of Olney died Tuesday May 10, 2005 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Mrs. Gumble was born on January 30, 1920 in Richland County, the daughter of Harry and Margaret (Varner) Wade.

She married Delbert R. Gumble on September 8, 1941. He preceded her in death on August 29, 1985.

She was a registered nurse and a graduate of Olney Sanitarium. She was head nurse of the OB/GYN department at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary in Olney.

Mrs. Gumble is survived by two daughters, Lila Rose Helm of Mukwonago, Wis. and Nina Kay Burcham of Olney; two sons, Harry Edward Gumble of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. and Daniel Raymond Gumble of Urbana; a brother, Forrest Wade of Noble; two sisters, Beulah Howe of Salem and Leone Michels of Olney; and nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, Esther Michels and Iris Cooper, and a brother, Frank Wade.
