Deloras was born on February 3, 1915 to her parents, Harvey Harvel Hudgens and Lona (Stokes) Hudgens.
Deloras was married to James Lowell Henderson (deceased) and was a LPN Nurse for the state hospital. She was also a volunteer for the Ladies Auxiliary and Lions.
Deloras was a life member of Friendship Church in Goreville.
She is survived by her children, William Daved Henderson of Marion, IL, Carl Laverne Henderson of Goreville, IL, Marilyn Sue Rees of Orlando, FL.; sisters, Vivian Escue of Marion, IL, Athleen Lingle of Johnston City, IL, Mildred Lindsey of Makanda, IL, Flodene Uhls of Marion, IL, Geneva Hudgens of Marion, IL, Ruth Nation of Belleville, IL; brothers, James Leon Hudgens and Carl Burl Hudgens, both of Marion, IL; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
Deloras was preceded in death by husband, James (Doughbelly) Henderson; parents, Harvey Hudgens and Lona (Stokes) Hudgens; son, Jim Jr. Henderson and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 15, 2001 at the Friendship Baptist Church, 19N Goreville at 11 a.m. with burial at The Friendship Cemetery. Rev. John Boyd will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Whitnel Funeral Home in Goreville.
