Service: 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel, 5725 Colleyville Blvd. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Charles was born Nov. 11, 1923, to E.L. and Emma Major. In 1946 he married Georgia Bernice. He served three years in the Army and served in World War II, earning the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with five bronze stars, Good Conduct Medal, and World War II Victory Medal. He was a resident of North Richland Hills for 48 years. Charles was employed by Tarrant County College as a groundskeeper and enjoyed family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Bernice Major; his parents; and siblings.
Survivors: Children, Georgia Marilyn Graves, Allen Aubrey Major and wife, Marie, Clayton Stuart Major and wife, Paula; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Ollie B. Bounds; and numerous other family members.
