Timothy Francis Cleary, 58 of Decatur died 10:00 A.M. Thursday April 21, 2005 in his residence.
Memorial Mass will be 10:00 A.M. Monday April 25, 2005 in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Father James D. O'Shea officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services in the church. Graceland/Fairlawn funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Tim was born November 14, 1946 in Peoria, Il., the son of William T. and Lois ‘Mag" Cleary. He served in the United States Army Reserve as a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his daughter Tiffany Christine Cleary, and son James Scott Cleary, both of Decatur. Grandson, Skyler Risley; sister-Jana Sexton and husband Michael, of Littleton, CO.; brothers-W. Kevin and wife Kathi, Gregory and wife Leighia, Chuck and wife Sue, and Jim all of Decatur area. Many loving nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Special friends Darrell and Phyllis Baker and Sherry Cleary.
Tim was a loving father, devoted grandfather, brother and friend. His smile, wit, sense of humor, culinary skills, and willingness to always help others will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends.
He had a rare, special friendship with his grandson, Skyler. What a joy it was to all who witnessed the special bond these two had. It is hard to imagine a grandfather who loved his grandson more than Tim loved Skyler.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to a benefit fund at Regions Bank for his grandson, Skyler, who was the joy and center of Tim's life.
Tim's family invites all family and friends to join us following the mass in a celebration of Tim's life at Chuck and Sue's home, 5222 N. Coulters Mill Road.
