An East Scranton man died suddenly yesterday afternoon after he suffered a heart attack at home.
Fred Dornheim, 56, 2122 Ash St., was stricken ill at home. The Fire Bureau Ambulance, operated by Acting Lt. Sam Weinberg and Aidman Robert Donaldson, administered 1,500 pounds of oxygen in an unsuccessful attempt to revive him.
Mr. Dornheim was pronounced dead by Dr. Clyde Collins.
A native of this city, Mr. Dornheim resided in Elmhurst for more than 30 years, before returning here 11 years ago.
A maintenance employe of Waitt and Bond Tobacco Co. for the past ten years, he was a member of Elmhurst Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; three daughters, Mrs. Butler Mitchell and Mrs. Algird Aukscunas, both of Scranton, and Miss Charlotte, at home; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. John Green, Elmhurst; a half-brother, Herman Dornheim, this city, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 1 p. m. from the Wesley Franklin Funeral Home, 401 Church St., Moscow. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. Friends may call Sunday and Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
