Frances L. Alexander, age 86, of Council Bluffs, passed away February 9, 2010, at Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital. She was born October 29, 1923, in Council Bluffs, to the late Peter and Mable (Vincent) Larsen. Frances worked for many years as a cook in the Council Bluffs Public Schools. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Alexander; and 6 siblings. Frances is survived by her daughters, Janet Olsen (Gary), Carolyn LeBaugh and Judy Custard (James); son, Garlin Stultz (Evelyn); sisters, Irene Shinn, Betty Smith and Doris Leeper; brother, James Larsen (Peggy); grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Visitation with the family will be Friday, 6 to 8 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Entombment is in the Ridgewood Mausoleum. Memorials are suggested to the Solid Rock Church.
