Came to Coos Co.,OR in 1853 after a brief stop in Davis Co.,IA in 1851. Arrived in Portland in Oct.,1852, then to Coos County the following year. Fought in the Indian Wars,1855-56. Married- Oct.26,1861,Douglas Co.,OR., America Agnes Braden, b.Nov.30,1841,Missouri - d.Dec.28,1878, Coos Co.,OR. Daniel m.2) Dec.24, 1881, Nannie H. Ransom, b.May 1857,OR. Was a member of the L.D.S.
