DENTON — Millard E. Surratt, 89, of Surratt Drive, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at his home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Dan McClure and the Rev. Randy Lucas officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Davidson County, served on the cemetery committee at his church and was a self-employed carpenter.
Surviving are wife, Avis Gallimore Surratt of the home; sons, Jimmy Surratt and Gilmer Surratt, both of Denton, Dempsey Surratt of Mt. Gilead; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at Briggs Funeral Home, Denton, 6-8 p.m. Saturday, other times at the home.
