CRIST - On May 20, 1974, at 10 p.m., at Hillview House Nursing Home, Hanover, Guy F. Crist, husband of the late Florence Sterner Crist, Spring Grove RD 3, formerly of Jefferson, aged 80 years, 3 months, 14 days.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Friday, May 24, at 2 p.m. at the Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. Interment in Jefferson Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Sauter Funeral Home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Father, Daughter Die The Same Day

Guy F. Crist, 80, Spring Grove RD 3, and a daughter, Mrs. Burnell A. Groft, 43, of Hanover, both died Monday.
Mrs. Geneva V. Groft, wife of Burnell A. Groft, 603 Carlisle St., Hanover, was fatally stricken of a heart attack at 7:50 p.m. at Harrisburg State Hospital, where she had been a patient 12 years.
The father, Guy F. Crist, formerly of Jefferson, who made his home the past 10 years with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Little, Spring Grove RD 3, died at 10 p.m. at Hillview House, Hanover, where he was a guest the past year.
Mrs. Groft was a daughter of the late Guy F. and Florence Sterner Crist and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Hanover.
Surviving also are two sons, Nelson A. Groft, 12 York St., Hanover, and Tobias L. Groft, at home; a brother, Russell Crist, 202 Ruth Ave., Hanover, and two sisters, Mrs. John R. Little, Spring Grove RD 3, and Mrs. Thomas Doss, Westminster RD 1, Md.
Her funeral will be Friday at 9 a.m. from the Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. The Rev. Robert C. Gribbin, rector of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Hanover.
Guy F. Crist was the husband of the late Florence Sterner Crist, and son of the late John H. and Daisy Brodbeck Crist. A veteran of World War I, he was a retired employee of P. H. Glatfelter Co., Spring Grove, and a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Jefferson.
In addition to Mrs. Little, he leaves another daughter, Mrs. Thomas Doss, Westminster RD 1, Md.; a son, Russell Crist, 202 Ruth Ave., Hanover; six grandchildren, and a sister, Esther Crist, Jefferson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. His pastor, the Rev. Donald E. Mummert, will officiate. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery.
