Dorothy K Conrad, 79, of Kiel, passed away at her daughter's home on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2003, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born March 9, 1924, at Oklahoma City, Okla., a daughter of the late Herman and Inez Trowbridge Flitterson. Dorothy attended school in Oklahoma and later worked at the Hostess Cupcake Co, until 1946. On Dec. 31, 1946 she married Valentine J Conrad at her parents' home. The couple was long time residents of Kiel. Her husband Valentine preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1982. Dorothy was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ in the Town of Schleswig and was a volunteer at the Kiel Nutrition Center. Dorothy enjoyed sewing and traveling and spending time with her family and many friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Dolores Kniess of Saukville; son, Philip (Susan) Conrad of Roswell, N.M., four grandchildren, Keith (Angela) Rollmann of Austin, Texas, Dr Brian (Amy) Rollmann of Wauwatosa and Angie Conrad and Melissa Conrad of Albuquerque, NM; one sister Carol Presten of Oklahoma City, Okla., and many friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
