Ruth P. Duncan, 69, of New Boston, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Trinity Rock Island.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 7, at the New Boston United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the New Boston Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, at the New Boston United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to the New Boston United Methodist Church, New Boston Volunteer Ambulance.
She was born March 25, 1941, in Eliza Township, IL, the daughter of Frederick Vern and Marie Gladys Adkins Coulter.
She married Jerry Allen Duncan on August 15, 1959, in New Boston. They were married for over 50 years.
She was most recently a homemaker and was a bookkeeper for Dahl Ford in Davenport for many years.
She enjoyed many activities and hobbies including quilting, sewing and cooking. Most of all she loved her family and caring for them.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Jerry; sons Randy and wife, Mary of Eliza and Bradley and wife, Kimberly of New Boston; grandchildren, Carl, Matthew and Daniel Duncan of New Boston and Tara and Sara Duncan of Muscatine; four great grandchildren; and sisters, Joanne Richter and husband, Joe of New Boston and Shirley Bond and husband, Melvin of Aledo.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
