Edson Meech

The funeral of J. Edson Meech of Rochester but formerly of this village, was held last Tuesday from the home of his sister, Mrs. W. H. Sunderlin, in Jackson Street, with Rev. R. Donald Williamson officiating. Temporary interment was made in the vault at the Weedsport Rural Cemetery. Later the body will be removed from the earth and laid to rest in Elbridge Rural Cemetery. He passed away at Hahnemann Hospital in Rochester Sunday morning and the remains sent on to Weedsport.

Mr. Meech was a member of Yonondio Lodge, F. & A. M.; Ionic Chapter, Royal Arch Masons; and Cyrese Commandery, Knights Templar. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence L. Meech, and one daughter, Orna Gerks of Rochester; three sons, Henry A. Meech of Rochester, Royal F. Meech of Phelps, and Thomas W. Meech of Oakland, Cal., and eight grandchildren; also three sisters, Mrs. E. W. Sunderlin of this village, Mrs. A. E. Pierce of Elbridge and Mrs. G. H. Tanner of Sennett and one brother, H. D. Meech of Rochester.
