Mrs. Ellen Bailey, Widow Of The Late Nicholas Bailey,
Died Monday Morning At Her Home In St. Paul

Mrs. Ellen Bailey, wife of the late Nicholas Bailey, died at her home in St. Paul Monday morning at five minutes after six o'clock. Death was the result of complication of diseases.

Mrs. Bailey was eighty-two years of age on last October 19th. She was born in Orange township, Rush county, and lived there and in Shelby county all her life.

She was united in marriage to her husband fifty-seven years ago and of this union seven children, five boys and two girls, were born. All of the children are living with the exception of one daughter, who died several years ago.

The children living are J. W. Bailey, of Bloomington, Indiana; F. W. Bailey, of Noble township; S. V. Bailey, of Marion county; W. D. Bailey, of Rush county; J. C. Bailey, of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Jane Haymond, of St. Paul, Indiana, and Mrs. Amanda Bailey, of Noble township. Twenty grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren survive.

The deceased was a member of the M.E. church and was a good Christian woman.

She was one of the most prominent and respected of St. Paul and her death is mourned by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at the Valley church Wednesday at 10:30 o'clock, Rev. Schwartz, pastor of the St. Paul U. B. church, officiating.

Interment will be made in the Ogden cemetery, three and one-half miles south of Waldron.
