Ethel G. Berry, 82, died Sunday evening in the Hoisington Hospital following a long illness. She was born Jan.5,1894, in Russell County. She has been a resident of Hoisington since 1945. She was married to J. Walter Berry Nov. 29, 1916, in Russell County. He died Aug 19,1950.
She is survived by one son, Lester of Russell; one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Julia) Alexander of Hoisington; one brother Ray Meharg of Hoisington; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was a member of Vine United Methodist Church in Hoisington, Shannon Friends Missionary Society, Hoisington garden club, Hoisington Hospital Auxiliary and Live and Learn EHU. Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Swank and Rev. R.J. Gotschall officiating. Interment will be in the Hoisington Cemetery. friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
