He made his professional debut as an infielder for the Chicago Chi-Feds, on September 9, 1914. He played for eight seasons for the Chicago Chi-Feds, Chicago Whales, Baltimore Terrapins, Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Giants, Boston Braves, Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies. He retired in 1922, having played in 128 games with 247 hits, 12 homeruns, 108 runs batted in and a .219 batting average.
