Funeral services for Troy Lee Edwards, 88, of Fort Gibson, OK, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 6, 2010 at South Bethel Cemetery in Braggs, OK, with Chaplain Forrest Kirk officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Fort Gibson.

Mr. Edward was born August 28, 1921 at Braggs, OK, the son of Tom W. and Mary Alice (Moore) Edwards and died Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Muskogee. He attended school in Braggs and was a lifelong resident of the Braggs and Fort Gibson area. He married Lucille Benge. During World War II, he served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Arkola and was also a cattleman and rancher.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille; two daughters, Coneil Lafarlette of Tulsa and Carol Madison of Palm Desert, CA; granddaughter, Tommi Inkelaar and husband Gil, of Tulsa; great-grandson, Anthony Inkelaar of Tulsa; sister, Margaret Bunch and husband, Ted of Fort Gibson.
