Funeral services were held Saturday, May 16 at First Christian Reformed Church, Edgerton.
Interment was in Hillside Cemetery, Edgerton.
Michael Dean Fey was born to Ervin and Evelyn (Dalthorp) Fey on Sept. 18, 1952 in Pipestone. He was raised in Edgerton where he attended Edgerton Christian Elementary School and Southwest Christian High School, where he graduated in 1970. He then attended Pipestone Vocational School in Pipestone where he studied automobile mechanics and parts. During this time, Mick was employed for General Trading Company in Pipestone. After his graduation, he moved to Thief River and was employed at Wilson Brothers Parts Company.
He married Wannaetta DeJongh on June 30, 1975 and to this union, had one son, Brian. Following his marriage they lived in Edgerton until 1979, when they moved to Fort Collins, Colo. Where he was employed at Tiger Auto Parts for six years. In 1985 they moved to Edgerton where Mick started NAPA Edgerton Auto Parts Store, which he owned and operated until August 2007, when he was diagnosed with cancer.
He married Mavis Day on May 28, 2005.
Mick was currently under hospice care and died at his home.
He was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Edgerton.
He is survived by his wife, Mavis, Edgerton; his son, Brian (Erin); one grandson, Aurora, Colo.; step-children, Angie (Jamie) Arp, Pipestone; Kim (Pat) Reidmann, Omaha, Neb.; Travis (Becky) Day, Iowa city, Iowa; three step-grandchildren; brothers, Roger (Gloria) Fey, Edgerton; Dennis (Linda) Fey, Longmark, Colo.; Eugene Fey and Scott (Lisa) Fey, both of Edgerton and brother-in-law, Del (Jo) Fredin, Fort Collins, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Starr Fredin.
