Graveside services for Hattie Black Baker Richter, recently of Gainesville, GA, were held on Saturday, April 17, at 11:00 in Madison, GA. Hattie Black was born on January 9, 1927 in Madison, GA, to the late Lemuel and Veva Baker. After graduating from Weslyan College, she taught school in Newnan, GA. On June 30, 1951, she married Charles W. Richter, III and moved to Marion, IN. She was a member of several social and volunteer organizations. She is survived by her husband, Charles W. Richter, III of Gainesville, GA; daughter and son in-law, Veva and Ron Cooper of Gainesville, GA; son, Charles W. Richter, IV, of Flowery Branch, GA; daughter and son in-law, Rebecca and John Thompson of Chico, CA; and four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Alzheimer's Assoc. (1925 Century Blvd., Ste. 10, Atlanta, GA 30345). National Cremation Society, 770-923-2940.
