A funeral service is pending at the Franklin & Downs Funeral Home for Rea V. Cloward, 80, who died today in a local rest home, following a long illness. He had lived in Modesto since 1938. Born in Utah, he was a retired employee of the Stanislaus County Fair Association and a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He is survived by his sons: R.L. Cloward of Modesto, Kenneth Cloward of Sunnyvale, and Don Cloward of Los Angeles; his daughters, Carroll Cannell and Fern Albino, both of Modesto, Valera Kircher of Santa Clara, and Bonnie Jo Williams of Sacramento; his brothers, Virgil Cloward of Utah, and Otto Cloward of Modesto; his sister, Marvil Fillmore of Idaho; 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
