John H. (Jack) Flock, 67, of 144 W. Brown St., Beaverton, died Sunday, Aug. 9, in the Gladwin Area Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Beaverton Dec. 5, 1919, he had spent his lifetime there. Mr. Flock retired in 1983 after 25 years as a welder for Lyle Development. He served in the Army during World War II.

Mr. Flock and the former Genevieve Nobbs were married Dec. 12, 1942, in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, David of Sanford; one daughter, Mrs. Roy (Rea) Rhodes of Hudson, Fla.; a sister, Betty Inman of Midland; and 3 grandchildren. A son, Gary preceded him in death Oct. 31, 1966.

Services were held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Harold Speer officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 8-12/1987
