Nordland county, Norway. Her father died young in 1903,
which left her mother a widow with 5 young children.
One by one the worked and saved to come to
Washington, ending up living near brothers Albert
and Adolf Halsan. Alfrida married her cousin from
Norway and they lived happily on Vashon Island.
In later years she also lived at the Kristi Norwegian
Home in Lynwood, Washington
