Elizabeth Norton Quincy, (1696–1769) was born 17 Dec 1696 in Braintree, Norfolk, Massachusetts, Death 1 Oct 1769 in Weymouth, Norfolk, Massachusetts. As a child was of Hingham, daughter of Rev. John Norton, founding pastor of Old Ship Church in Hingham, Massachusetts, and nephew of John Norton (1606–1663), Puritan divine, and one of the first authors in the United States of America. Elizabeth Quincy was Abigail Smith Adams' grandmother, one of the greatest heroines of the American Revolution. She was also the Great Grandmother of the 6th President, John Quncy Adams, and she was the grandmother-in-law for John Adams.
