Katherine E. "Katie" Sims, age 74 years, of Caledonia died February 7, 2006 at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, FL. She was born April 10, 1931 in Caledonia to Merle and Marion Sisson. Katie served 16 years as the Caledonia Town Clerk, and 18 years as the co-owner and operator for the family's business, Genesee Country Campground from which she retired last year. She is survived by her husband, Jack of Caledonia; son and daughter-in-law, Skip and Judy Sims; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Tibor Kooy, all of Caledonia; grandchildren, Candi (Rob) Werkmeister, Alicia and Nathan Sims, Rachel and Matthew Kooy and her great-granddaughter, Emma Werkmeister; brothers, Don (Marion), Ed (Lois), Dick (Ruth) Sisson; several nieces, nephews and many great friends.
