He was a son of Rudy Albert and Carrie Alverna (Bowman) Anderson.

He was killed in action at Achen, France on January 3, 1945.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army on January 21, 1944 at Altoona, Pennsylvania.

He was originally from Mapleton Depot, Pennsylvania.

He was married to Leona G. Sollers on July 20, 1940 at Winchester, Virginia.

He was interred in the Gettysburg National Cemetery on April 14, 1948.
