Marion Columbus Moss, I, a resident of Dothan passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at his residence. He was 66.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at the Carmel Assembly of God Church at 1485 Carmel Church Rd. in Bonifay, FL with Rev. Tommy Moore, Rev. Jonathan West and Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Moss was born on May 25, 1943 in Holmes County, FL and lived his early life in Bonifay. He is a 1961 graduate of Bethlehem High School and a Veteran of the Vietnam War having served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Marion moved to Dothan in 1967 and was employed with the Wiregrass Hospital in Geneva, Flowers Hospital, Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, and retired from Flowers Hospital in 2005. He was a Troy Graduate with a Bachelors Degree in education and a minor in music. From a very young age, Marion developed a love for music and it was obvious he possessed a God-Given talent. He used his gift throughout his life providing the sound of music to many others, working many places such as local churches, prestigious clubs, and private events. He was an instructor at Emmanuel Christian School for 2 years. Marion was a faithful member of the Carmel Assembly of God Church in Bonifay, FL.

Survivors include his wife Lori Moss of Dothan; a son Cole Moss of Dothan; daughters, Valerie Oliver and her husband Max of Pansey, Kim McSween and her husband Lance of Anniston, Elizabeth Moss of Dothan; 4 grandchildren, Rachel Oliver, Mitch Oliver, Abbigail McSween, Tyler McSween; 1 great-grandchild Mason Lee Howell; a brother Wayne Moss and his wife Marilyn of Mobile; sisters, Sue Anderson and her husband Clent of Lee, FL, Jane Corbin and her husband Otis Jr. of Bonifay, FL; his mother-in-law Agnes Parker of Crestview, FL; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Gabe Corbin, Caleb Corbin, Marc Long, Tom Parker, Ed Lambert and Justin Sharron.
