PATRICIA J. McWHIRTER, 64, of Memphis, retired underwriter for Hartford Insurance Co., died Monday at her home after a heart attack. Services will be at noon Thursday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park. She was a member of Insurance Women of America. Mrs. McWhirter, the wife of George McWhirter for 39 years, also leaves two daughters, Bonnie Scarborough of Hackleburg, Ala., and Patricia Padgett of Memphis; four sons, Leonard Osborne of Eads, Gary Griggs of Memphis, George McWhirter of Horn Lake and Carl Hays of Ridgely, Tenn., and 10 grandchildren.
