Mrs Gheen was 75 years old and had had sugar diabetes for many years.
Mrs. George Hale, the only daughter of the Gheen's except by adoption was called to her bedside several days ago.
She is survived by her husband, Steve P. Gheen one daughter Mrs Geo Hale, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also a number of brothers and sisters.
The Gheen's lived in Afton for some years and later spent some time in Etna before moving to Salt Lake City where they have been for some years.
The Hale family will attend the funeral services at Salt Lake City Friday and interment will take place there.

Mrs S. P. Gheen was born in Sugarhouse ward in Salt Lake City in 1866. She was the daughter of Alexandra Sims and Elizabeth McDermount. Her father was born in Aberdeen, Scotland and her mother in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Her parents were the only members of their family to join the church and came to America.
Her father operated a grist mill at Centerville, Utah later moving to Bear Lake Valley where he had a grist mill at St Charles and Swan Creek. In 1890 she married S.P. Gheen and they lived in St Charles until they with other saints thruout the church were called to help colonize some part of Canada, so after selling their home they started upon their journey, but before many days travel the saints were all released form this mission and the Gheens settled in Teton City, where they lived for three or four years before moving into Star Valley.
Up until the time of her recent illness Mrs gheen was an active church worker. While in Bear Lake she worked in the Primary. In Teton City she was president of the Mutual Improvement association and on officer in the Primary. While in Star Valley she was Stake Aid and class leader in the Mutual also an officer in the Primary.
Funeral services were held in the Aultorest Mortuary under the direction of Bp. Affleck of the 21st ward. Musical number "The End of a Perfect Day" was played by a string trio. The speakers were Brother burrows and Louis Booth from the 21st ward, both spoke personality Mrs Gheen possessed. Brother Booth said he had known the Gheens practically all of his life and if Mrs Gheen had any faults he had never discovered them. Two solos, "The Lord's Prayer" and "Some Morning" were sung by Mrs Lucile Rogers. Mrs Audrin Pixten read some verses "Thoughts of My Dear Mother" written by Mrs Gheen's only child, Mrs George Hale. The grandsons acted as pall beares.
Interment was made in the Aultorest Burial ground.
