Born in Bristol, Sullivan, Tennessee, Albert Jackson Anderson Jr. was the son of Albert J. and Myrtle Tillman Anderson Sr.

He married Melba O West on 3 May 1947 in Mobile, Alabama. They had 3 children, Celia Marie, Albert J., III (Bubba), and Sharon Jeanette. They moved to Waynesville, North Carolina where Albert III was born in 1948 and lived there until about 1950 where he worked in his fathers business, Anderson Sheetmetal Works.

He is a WW II Navy Veteran.

In 1950 they moved to Bayou La Batre, Alabama where Sharon was born in 1953. At this time he started working in Civil Service at Brookley Air Field until he was transferred to Pensacola Naval Station. He worked in Civil Service for 40 years.

They built a home in Irvington, Alabama in 1959 where he lived until 1990 when he divorced Melba Anderson and moved to Bayou La Batre, Alabama. It was at this time that he married Peggy Seaman.

Called Papa, he is the grandfather of 9 grandchildren and the great-grandfather of 20.

He is loved and missed by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
