Robin Denise Kennedy, of Florence and formerly of Mt. Pleasant, SC, went to her Heavenly home May 1, 2010, after an extended illness. She was 32.

Robin was born in Georgetown, SC, the precious daughter of Rev. Stan and Sharon Kennedy.

She is a 1995 graduate of Wando High School in Mt. Pleasant and a graduate of Florence-Darlington Technical College, where she was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Robin also attended Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA, and Limestone College in Florence. She was pursuing a career in social work.

One of Robin's greatest joys was sharing her passion for God through children's ministries. She served many years as a Missionettes teacher and youth camp counselor as well as a nursery worker. Children loved "Miss Robin" as much as she loved them. Robin was also a talented singer and an inspiration to everyone she met. She was always ready to share her testimony and faith in the Lord, which never wavered.

Surviving are her parents; siblings, Rev. Jay (Jennifer) Kennedy and Shelly Kennedy, both of Columbia; paternal grandmother, Doris Kennedy of Asheboro, NC; maternal grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. James R. McNeill of Charleston; three nephews, Jason, Christopher and Tyler; a niece, Rachel and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Rev. Paul S. Kennedy.

Interment was in Florence Memorial Gardens.
