Jimmy L. "Jim" Murray, 62, of Sidney went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 2, at 1:02 A.M. at the Lima Memorial Hospital.

He was born on August 18, 1947 in Jellico, Tennessee, the son of the late Elvin and Vivian (Hammons) Murray.

On May 31, 2008 he married Theresa A. Beutler who survives along with his two children, Jimmy Murray II and his wife Tammy of Sidney and Mrs. Donnie (Ruth Ann) Day of Anna, OH. Three step-children, Derek Seyer of Ottawa, OH., Mrs. Tony (Jen) Cotton of Lima, OH., Whitney Seyer of Columbus Grove, OH. and four grandchildren, Mrs. Brett (Amber) Helman, Chelsie Murray, Donnie Joe Day III, and Cameron Day. Four step-grandchildren, Nickolas Woods, Jacob Seyer, Wyatt Seyer and Branson Cotton. One brother, Marvin Murray of Fort Loramie, OH., and two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Betty) Spaugy of Anna, OH., and Mrs. Marvin (Velma) Crim of Sidney.

One sister Irene Scott preceded him in death.

Jim was a retired paint supervisor at the former Stolle Corporation. He was a member of the Sidney Baptist Church, Moose Lodge 1533 of Indian Lake, OH., the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 614 in Piqua, OH., Sidney Amvets and the Shelby County Memorial Post 4239 V.F.W. Canteen supporter. Jim was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Friday May 7, 2010 at 10 A.M. from the Sidney Baptist Church with Rev. Dave Moran officiating. Burial will be at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney, Ohio.

The family will receive friends on Thursday May 6, 2010 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Sidney Baptist Church, 1322 E. Court Street. Funeral arrangements are being conducted by the Cromes Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave.
