Lucy Mae Ortz, 64, of Distant, Armstrong County, died at 10:45 pm Tuesday, September 20, 1994, in her residence, following a short illness.

Born March 9, 1930 in Madison Township, Armstrong County, she was a daughter of Loyal and Della Willison Henderson. Mrs. Ortz was a homemaker and a Protestant.

She was married November 20, 1948 to Blair M Ortz, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Thomas B Ortz of Distant and Timothy E Ortz of New Bethlehem; three daughaters, Mrs. William D (Pamela) Aaron of Punsxutawney and Mrs. Terry (Della) Young and Mrs. Rodney (Anita) Ligenfelter, both of Distant; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Jane) Kline of Punxsutawney and Mrs. Randall (Elizabeth) Rearick of New Bethlehem; and one brother, Clark Henderson of Emlenton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandsons.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today in the Rupert Funeral Home of New Bethlehm. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Friday in the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth Brougham, pastor of Springside Baptist Church in New Bethlehem, officiating.

Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery in Distant.
