PRIVATE MEASOM'S RITES SET FOR TOMORROW

SPANISH FORK--Graveside military services will be held for Pvt. Rex J. Measom of Lake Shore, who was killed in an airplane crash in England in 1944, at the Spanish Fork Cemetery tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. with Bishop Jesse Tuckett of the Lake Shore Ward in charge. The American Legion Post No. 68 of Spanish Fork will conduct the military service.
Private Measom was a mechanic in the ferry squadron located in North Ireland.

He was born August 11, 1924, at Lake Shore, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jennings Measom. He was graduated from Spanish Fork High School and the Palmyra Stake Seminary in May, 1942. He was a student at Weber College at Ogden in the vocational school when he was inducted June 21, 1943, at Hill Field. He trained at Wendover and was sent to England September 26, 1943. Soon after arriving there he was assigned to North Ireland.

Survivors include his parents and the following brothers and sisters: Francis, Lorna, Job, June, Dee Ann, and Kent Measom, and a grandmother, Mrs. Jane Measom, all of Lake Shore.
