1928 - 2005

Richard P. Snyder, age 76, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away Saturday, January
15, 2005 at The Manor of Bluewater Bay, Niceville, Florida.

He was born on June 13, 1928 in South Charleston, West Virginia to Harley and
Gertrude Snyder. He retired from Air Products in 1989 and was employed at his
son David's business, Custom Wood Designs. He was an active member and deacon of
East Brent Baptist Church. He was very active in many sports, officiating
football for 15 years, was an avid golfer and loved watching his granddaughter,
Abby, play softball for the Diamond Aces and the Tate Aggies. His greatest
enjoyment came from keeping up with all his grandchildren's activities and
events.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Christine E. Snyder of Pensacola;
brother, John Gerald "Jerry" Snyder and wife, Ann of Springfield, Virginia; son,
David R. Snyder and wife, Susan; daughter, Debbie Wise and husband, Randy;
grandchildren, Caleb Wise, Landon Wise and wife, Tricia, Shay Snyder Stallworth
and husband, Matt, Abby Snyder; and cousins, faithful friends and traveling
partners, Jim and Imogene Snyder.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 18, at East Brent
Baptist Church with Dr. Dale Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at
Pensacola Memorial Gardens on Pine Forest Road.

FAITH CHAPEL NORTH, 1000 Highway 29, Cantonment, is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the East Brent
Baptist Church Building Fund or Covenant Hospice.
