Henry Mansur Thieme, 87 of RFD 1, Chula, died at his home Sunday, February 4. He had been ill for several months.
He was born April 23, 1891 in Chula to Herman and Christina (Uhrmacher) Thieme. On June 30, 1915 he married Helen Ward in Chillicothe, MO.
Mr. Thieme was a farmer and had attended school in Chula, where he spent his entire life.
He is survived by his wife of the home, a son Norman Thieme of Chula, two daughters, Mrs. Elvis (Nina) Carr of Trenton, MO., and Mrs. James (Lela) Farris of Euphrata, WA., ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 7, at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Norman Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. William Lindblom. Burial will be at the Plainview Cemetery in Chula. The casket will be closed at the start of the service.
